I was contacted by a business who informed me that they believed an employee was pilfering monies from their cash register. I entered said business to view the location for camera placement. I then contacted the sales team at Security Cameras Direct who suggested using a Mini 600 LOR Cone Lens Camera (CMB5012EX).
In order to not raise suspicion, I removed an existing exit sign, drilled a small hole from the inside and secured the camera inside the sign. I then replaced the exit sign concealing the wires through to the attic, where I set up a 1283 time lapse VCR and monitor and started to run tape. Within ten days of the install an employee of said business was arrested and interviewed by local police. This resulted in a recovery of $1700.00 and the female subject being jailed.
Thanks to Security Cameras Direct a crime was uncovered and Justice was served. I've since purchased several more of the CMB5012EX cameras and am awaiting results.

I would like to take a moment to thank you for your help in recovering video from a hard drive used in one of your security video recorders. The suspects in that case robbed a gaming establishment and then smashed the video recorder in and effort to destroy the video evidence. They were later chased by the Police where they shot and slightly wounded one of our Officers before they were apprehended.
I was assigned to recover the video from the hard drive in the security recorder. While I noticed that the recorder had been severely damaged, I found the hard drive to be intact. When I was unable to recover that video, I found your staff to be very helpful and professional in recovering the video in a timely manner. That video was very helpful in making an affirmative link between the suspects and the robbery.

I want to let you and your company know about a great little camera that you sell! The CMC5010PH pinhole color mini box camera is the best robbery stopper that we've found! Example:
One of our "Mom and Dad" small markets in the central Richmond, Virginia area has had major problems with "walk-in" bandits wearing baseball caps to hide their faces. The problem is that if they installed the regular surveillance cameras (up high in the corners to get greater store coverage), the bill of the baseball cap hides the bandits face. Did you note the word is "HAD"!
Then, they placed a call to us! After seeing the store and the problem, we simply replaced the old VCR system with a new DVR system, with ONE #CFC2010WA2 wide-angle color cam (at the ceiling in the middle of the back wall) to cover the main areas of the store. We then installed FOUR Dummy cams in the normal corner ceiling locations, to give anyone who first "cased" the store a false idea of camera location. And last, we installed TWO #CMC5010PH cams, one at each of the two cash registers. Special placement of these two cams are the secret to not only catching the robbers, but giving the police a new tool to search for them!
Place these cams 6 feet from the floor on the wall just behind the cash register, facing whoever is facing the attendant. If there is no wall behind them, use a rack or display. These cams are so small, yet so very high in resolution that the bandits never see them!
The best thing of all is that with the new DVR with the Ethernet remote access, the police can then send these pictures directly to the cruisers in that area via their in-cruiser computer link system to nab the bandits in record time!
This system has proven it's worth with arrest times in as little as SEVEN HOURS from the time of the crime! And, the police do not have to waste time looking for witnesses to get a description and then go looking for the bandits!

Our Dealership was looking for ways to upgrade our security. Security Cameras Direct had a large selection of day and night vision cameras so we started with just four cameras for the service area of the Dealership. The four cameras did such a great job that we upgraded to 9 cameras and have them in selected high traffic areas throughout the dealership. We monitor day and night and are able to record all activity. The system allows us to look back at previous times to observe any activity. Since we have installed this system we have been able to reduce unwanted activity greatly.
